A Few Hundred Thousand Rounds Later

After the last few years of shooting a Beretta exclusively, I figured it was about time to review how the guns have held up. So, I put together a video and posted it on the Beretta Forum.

Check out that video HERE.

I also got some pics of the frame of one of my practice guns that has seen a particularly high round count. You can check those out below. As you can see the breech face is a bit worn and the anodizing is coming off the aluminum frame. I am really not super thrilled with anodizing. It does not seem to hold up on these guns.

In any event, I am pleased that these pistols preform well through the abuse that I put them through. My pistols regularly get treated roughly. I pick up a mag out of the mud during practice, bang it on my holster a couple times, put some more ammo in it and throw it right back into the gun. I do not really inspect my practice ammo. If a misshapen or deformed round goes into the chamber, it gets fired anyway.

I regularly go 2000 rounds or more without even field stripping my gun. During the season where I am shooting 5+ days a week, I really don’t feel like spending an extra half hour a day cleaning a gun I am going to get dirty again the next day.
